ADHD support that goes beyond the checklist.
Whether you were diagnosed at 8 or 38, ADHD shapes how you move through the day. We focus on practical strategies, executive function, and rebuilding trust with yourself — not on shame.
What it can look like
- Trouble starting tasks even when they matter
- Time blindness — hours disappear, deadlines surprise you
- Emotional intensity that's hard to regulate
- A long history of 'shoulds' that haven't worked
- Burnout from masking
Approach
Skills, not shame
We use CBT and ACT-informed tools tailored to ADHD brains — externalizing systems, environment design, and self-compassion practices.
Co-occurring care
ADHD often travels with anxiety, trauma, or rejection sensitivity. We treat the whole picture, not just the label.
Collaborative
You set the goals. We bring the framework. Sessions move at a pace your nervous system can handle.
Who we work with for ADHD
We see adults and adolescents (7+) across Texas — late-diagnosed adults rebuilding self-trust, college students drowning in executive-function demands, parents recognizing their own ADHD through their kid's diagnosis, and bilingual professionals navigating ADHD across two languages and two cultural contexts.
FAQ
- Do you diagnose ADHD?
- We provide therapy and can offer screening, but formal diagnosis usually requires a psychologist or psychiatrist. We can refer you to bilingual providers in Texas.
- Do you prescribe medication?
- No — LPCs do not prescribe. We collaborate with your prescriber if you have one, or refer you to one if you'd like.
- Is virtual therapy effective for ADHD?
- Yes. For many ADHD clients, telehealth removes a major barrier (transit, parking, time) and increases consistency.
- What if I was just diagnosed as an adult?
- Late diagnosis is common and often comes with grief, relief, and a lot of re-framing. We make space for all of it while building practical systems for your current life.
- Can therapy help if I'm already on medication?
- Absolutely. Medication can quiet the noise; therapy helps you decide what to do with the quiet. Most clients find the combination far more effective than either alone.
- How is ADHD therapy different from regular therapy?
- We design sessions for ADHD brains: shorter agendas, externalized notes, less abstract talk, more strategy. We also account for time-blindness, rejection sensitivity, and emotional intensity in how we pace the work.
